Happy Moments Captured - DT page for Stuck?! Sketches

How lovely to have you visit again, I hope your day is going well.
I have a boy’s page to share with you; it’s for the
Stuck?! Sketches Design Team.
CLICK HERE to see the details about the challenge.
Laura’s sketches are just a dream to work with, so why not play along
and be in the running to win one of the great prizes listed below.
I’m still on a mission to use some of my older papers by blending them with newer ones.
So happy with how these played well together.
The Green background paper is from 7 Dots Studio, "Soulmates".
The rust coloured cardstock is by Co-ordinations.
The checked paper is an ancient one from Basic Grey, Skate Shop, "Kick flip"
It was sulking in my give away pile, so I liberated it!
The little blue teddy button jumped out of his tin and shouted "Pick me"!
He dragged the daisy button out with him; doesn't he look sweet?
I've had these for so long that I don't remember where I got them,
possibly in a needlework shop in the Copper triangle (Moonta, Kadina)
I used a Fiskars punch "Apron Lace" for the scalloped edge.
The puffy arrow and sun stickers are by Heidi Swapp
and the alphas are also older stash from Prima.
The journalling is on the back of the page and it reads-

Although we pick you up after school once a week and spend 3 or 4 hours with you, it's only in the school holidays that we have you for a couple of days and overnight.  Your Daddy and Uncles taught us well; we remember that little boys must be kept busy to get the sting out of their legs.   Most of the time you are delightful, but occasionally a skirmish breaks out and I'm reminded of a quote from "The grapes of wrath" by John Steinbeck in 1938.  He described one of the feisty characters as being full of "piss and vinegar", a colourful way of describing someone who is rowdy, boisterous and full of youthful energy.  The phrase suited your Daddy and is equally pertinent to you three too.
We certainly know we are alive when you are around!  Love Granny 4 October 2016

The generous sponsors this time are:-
Creative Embellishments who are offering a $25.00 Gift Certificate.
And Wycinanka, who are offering a themed prize pack.

I enjoy reading your comments and appreciate you leaving them.  Thank you.

  9. Hi Helen--Hoping you tried out the masked heart wreath technique & will post it! You would not believe how many stamps I have collected in 20 years--too many to count--haha! Actually enjoyed working today, so guess I'm not quite ready for full retirement!
