Scrapmatts post and a CSI guest post

Hello Scrappy Friends, welcome to my blog.
Thanks for calling on on this cold and wintery day.

This page was created for the CSI/Scrapmatts combined challenge. I didn’t get a chance to show it before leaving on holidays.

The paper is from Blue Fern with a heavy layer of gesso.
Our little pocket rocket in her "Frozen" outfit.

The texture was created with the gorgeous new stencil
ST5030 Stencil Flowers

The bird cage and stand were dabbed with gesso
and the little bird was tinted a pale blue.

MC1028 Micro Chips 20

The frame CB6011 Ornate Frame 09
was treated with gesso and dabbed with distress ink.

The word title CB1198 Scrapwords 06
was given a light water colour wash.

I love the way the border CB2001 Page Borders 01
responded to LSG Magicals and Glossy accents.

The journalling is on the back of the page and it reads:-

You asked me to take a photo of you wearing your favourite Elsa dress, which Granny Priscilla sewed for you. It has a detachable cape which you like to take on and off. You’d love your hair to be long enough to wear in a single plait, but don’t have the patience to sit while the knots are brushed out of your hair every morning, so it just gets so far and then gets chopped off. On this day, you were “in character” all day, singing “Let it go”, with the arm actions and dramatic poses, until even I started to remember the words. I love the way you feel free to ask for what you’d like and graciously accept the umpires decision, whether the answer is yes or no.

This is one of the rare pensive photos of our darling Grand daughter.

I enjoyed used one of the new Scrapmatts stencils ST1032 Stencil Plus Signs with texture paste.
Lindy's Stamp Gang magicals created the blue and green colours over the top of the stencilling.

The title words are from the CB1237 Scrap Words 23

On the butterflies, CB1028 Butterflies 18 I used Tim Holtz distress inks and topped them with Glossy accents to make them shine.

The square chipboard CB5141 Retro Squares 01was treated with gesso and randomly applied paint.

The journalling is on the back of the page and it reads:-

Another day at Granny and Pa's and another "Frozen" outfit, this time provided by us. I see such a difference in you in this older photo even though there is only seven months between them. You managed to grow your hair a bit longer during the intervening months. I love our play time together when you get into character and I get behind the lens.
