Stash busting is still high on my list for this year, so I've use an ancient Basic Grey paper
for the background, Scarlett's letter. The patterned papers are also Basic Grey.
The chipboard title is also ancient - it's from Scrap FX
I treated it with Prima Rust paste to reflect the colours of the landscape.

Wow, Helen--another amazing layout! Gorgeous picture & the perfect papers & embellishments to showcase it! I have some of those same BG papers--just loved the look even though I never use them for my cards. Love the treatment you gave the title!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great take on the sketch amazing photo, and the treatment you gave the chipboard to give it a rustic and aged look.. And had to smile at your use of "ancient" papers, I think I have a few from the dark ages too in my stash! Hehe! Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog too!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I was looking to see where the 4 photos were, heehee....took my brain a minute to adjust to the long skinny pic. But what a PERFECT one for this sketch! Loooove the 'earthy' bush tones you've used. That BG pp works to perfection!!!

woooHOOOO what a great way to accentuate the scale of that landscape, really really striking effect. Your treatment of the chippie title is a perfect foil to set off the colours in the picture too. Brilliant!!

ReplyDeleteAnother cracker of a sketch and I just love what you did with it. So clever to use that long photo which is just gorgeous and perfect for the papers that you used. I promised myself I would stash bust this year. It was going really well until I bought a whole bunch of Shimelle Laine product :O Oh well.. I never said I was perfect did I... I want to play along again...so I need to get my A into G...
