Today I have a layout about DGD which I made as part of
the DT at Scrap Africa
The sketch is by Denise van Deventer
I reversed the sketch to suit the photo and used the flowers to replace the circles
The bricks are there, they just didn't photograph well
I used some older Authentique papers that I've been hoarding.
The chip board corners, heart sprigs and words are from Scrapmatts
The journalling is on the back of the page and it reads:-
This photo was taken on Christmas day with you in the new party dress we'd given you. The minute you opened your parcel, you started undressing, so you could wear your new dress for lunch. I wanted to take lots of photos of you in it, but you gave me one twirl and that was it. "No more Granny, I've got to play now please"
Oh how sweet....they always do love a dress that can "turn". Gorgeous page Helen....love how it flows across the page.
ReplyDeleteOh this is so pretty! Those papers are perfect for your photo.. great take on the sketch too.. love this...
ReplyDeleteSo soft and pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers look like a continuation of the flowers on the dress
Aaaah love this one Helen! Your girlie is so very sweet in her new dress! Your design and flowers are just perfect for this photo and I love everything about it! It's a very clever and pretty page! We as kids always got a new outfit for Christmas and it was also tradition that you wore it that very day too! Your page has certainly triggered a few memories!
ReplyDeleteDitto to what Denise has said....
ReplyDeleteProbably a new fave for me.......I LOVE this layout Helen.....love the white space, design colours, fussy cutting, photo love every little detail....Gorgeous!!
Your GD is so adorable! love this photo of her. Your take on the sketch is so beautiful. I love the stampped corners of the cs and the flowers and butterflies. I also love the stitches stamps (Prima, I guess).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful page!
