Stuck?! Sketches DT - Hey there sunshine

Welcome back Scrappy friends.
With the children back at school I hope you will find time to play along at

Where Laura has another stunning sketch to inspire you.

Having promised myself not to buy any more patterned paper, I spotted these gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla yummies in my LSS.   They insisted on jumping into my basket without asking,  "Is it OK?"  "What's a girl to do eh?"   I did salve my conscience somewhat by teaming them with scraps of really old stash.
Don't you just love this fabric heart from Charms creations?
They are generous sponsors for this challenge.
Lynette Jacobs does wonderful stitching on her layouts and I've been inspired
by her to give it a go myself.   Thank you Lynette, I your work.
The brad and the bow have been in my stash for years.
Love the little glittery hearts - they are a gift from my kind friend
Thank you Lizzy, they are perfect for my girl who loves all things sparkly.

The journalling is on the back of the page and it reads:-

This was one of our last whole days together, before you go to school full time in January 2017.   You decided to have a fashion parade to raise money for the RSPCA.  You knew that some people treat animals badly and you felt concerned about that, because you love animals and have pets at your home.  You used the bedroom as a change area and oozed into the passage after changing into four different outfits.  You struck a pose, sashayed down the "catwalk" toward the mirror, gave an elegant twirl and floated back toward me; your poker face worthy of a top class model.  Parade over, we adjourned to the play room where you set up seats for the audience (all the soft toys), pulled out your laptop, (a small cardboard box) and entered all the donations, as they flooded in via the internet.  My admission charge was $10.00.  "It's expensive Granny, but it's for such a good cause!"  The whole morning was initiated and controlled by you.  Absolutely no input required or tolerated from Granny.  At five, your imagination is astounding and I can't help but reflect on my own childhood without a telephone, running water, electricity, an inside lavatory and a myriad of other conveniences which you take for granted.  I will miss our crafting, sewing and baking sessions; our trips to the park, cafes and the library, but most of all, I will miss your gorgeous smile, your strong hugs, and you yelling, "I love you Granny and Pa" as you wave goodbye.   I hope I'm around to see what direction you take in life, but if not, I have been blessed by your weekly doses of sunshine, exuberance and joy.
 Love Granny 28th September 2016

You NORTY NANA!!!! Buying more paper...but at least you've used it, so that's good AND with old stash. That bow is so 'in' it's ridiculous. Just as well you held onto it! 6. Oh Helen your journalling brought a tear to my eye. Firstly the page jumped out at me with that stunning star & pretty paper. (A little retail therapy never hurt anyone 😄). But then the story of your beautiful granddaughter brought me unstuck. I'm sure you'll be around to watch her turn into an amazing young woman. Thanks for sharing xx

  12. Oh my this made me cry. I often look at mine and hope that I will be around for a while to see them grow. The astound me day after day with their chirps, knowledge and most of all sense of humour. How big she has gotten. I am sure you will miss her lots. It was your layout that made me want to play before I even saw the sketch. It is just such a happy layout. Good work :D
