86 - CSI challenge - Sweet

Lovely soft pastels this week at CSI and the Evidence prompted me to try my hand with some gelatos.
Having watched a few demos on line, I thought I'd be brave and experiment.  My first three attempts were apalling and ended up in the bin.  I finally settled for this one.  There's room for improvement, but I did enjoy getting messy and using some watercolour paper.

Our DGD, there is nothing caged about this little girl.
The birds on the twig are fussy cut from a Prima paper
The bird cage is from Dusty Attic
Little orange hearts by Scrapmatts
The yellow flower is coloured with gelatos on vellum
Thank you to Eila Sandberg for the little pink butterfly

  6. Such a soft, sweet and precious page Helen! So great that you gave the watercolours a go and think your background came out really well! I did some experimenting with some alcohol inks a while back, and all of them ended up in the dustbin, so really glad you were able to get a great result! I love the experimenting, but sometimes it does not turn out like the image I have in my mind! ;-)
