Welome back to my blog today where I'm sharing a DT page for
The diamonds at the top of the sketch reminded me of mountains, so I flipped the sketch and created a page about a dog sled ride we enjoyed in Alaska.
The mountains were fussy cut from a Pink Fresh paper, Escape the ordinary collection, "Explore".
The journalling is on the back of the page and it reads:-
A holiday in Canada and Alaska was one of the highlights of our travel adventures.
This part of the journey included a cruise in the Inside passage to Glacier Bay. We disembarked at Juneau, among other places. One of the optional tours from Juneau was a helicopter flight over the snow fields, followed by a dog sled ride. How exciting to be so close to the earth, whizzing along with these strong dogs pulling the sleds! We had no idea what we were doing, but the intelligent dogs had everything under control and we were surprised to see that they wore fluorescent socks over their feet to protect them from the cold. The background paper I bought in Alaska; it's from The Paper Loft, Back Country collection, "Fly Fishing"; It seemed just right for these snowy pictures.
The snowflakes were created with a cut file from Silhouette and covered with Nuvo Glitter drops, "White Blizzard".
