Stuck?! Sketches! - November 1st 2017 - Enjoy

Welome back to my blog today where I'm sharing a DT page for
This is my third attempt at this sketch, having wrecked the first two by taking them one step too far.  My Mother would have said "Stop trying to gild the Lilly!"
The papers are all from Cocoa Vanilla, one of my favourite boy's ranges;
it's called "You Rock".
The quote is by Kahil Gibran and it's on a card by Affirmations Publishing House.
The flairs and other embellishments are from Cocoa Vanilla too.
The title is an older one by Heidi Swapp.

The journalling is on the back of the page and it reads:-
We enjoyed looking after you once a week when you were little tackers.  Here you are aged about three years, out in the garden, bare foot, as usual and happily
watering in your tomato plants.  They grew beautifully and provided kilos of sweet cherry tomatoes.   The first thing you did, when you arrived, was to shuck off your shoes, pick up your watering cans, grab a bowl and gather up your produce to take home and share with your family.   I love seeing those bare toes connected to the good, rich earth.
Love Granny. 14th October 2014.

How wonderful for your grandies to be able to enjoy the fruits of their labour. Like you I always keep adding and sometimes have to tell myself to walk away from the layout lol. Have a wonderful weekend x

  10. What a marvelous quote! The photos are such a perfect accompaniment. It was a great idea to use the quote as part of the trio of imagery. You amaze! Hugs, Autumn
