Beach, Timeout, Paradise. DT for Scrap Africa, sketch challenge 36

Today I’m sharing a DT layout for Scrap Africa sketch challenge No 36.  It has a lovely tropical feel and prompted me to use a photo of our youngest Son and his partner, taken in Bali at his Brother’s wedding.
I used the Kaisercraft Paradiso range, “Tropical Bliss”,
The Paradiso collectables and acetate overlay.
Having stitched the overlay to the page, I discovered it wouldn’t photograph without reflections, so I unpicked it and got it flat again.  Now the photo looks a bit blurred,
but I’m not clever enough to figure out how to fix that.
If you have any hints, I’d love to hear about them.
Would you like to join in the challenge?
Just CLICK HERE to see what the DT have created for your inspiration.
Come and play too and maybe win a prize for your own page.
The journalling is on the back and it reads:-

We gathered from all around the world to attend your Brother’s wedding in beautiful Bali.   You had been living and working in London for years and it was wonderful to see you both again, after so long.  We had about a week together, just relaxing before and after the wedding and enjoying each other company.   The Bride and Groom looked gorgeous, the food and drinks were delicious, the setting idyllic.   But the very best part was having all my chicks gathered around in the same place for a family celebration; when the first of our children got married. Nothing gladdens the heart of a Mother more, than a big hug from her Boys.

  6. Oh don't I know that. This layout has such a laid back beachy feel to it and such a good looking couple too.... I can't imagine having my kids spread all over and away from me. Not something I want to think about :/ I haven't been to Bali either but it is on my bucket list :D
On the overlay thing. It is the same as taking pics of PL layouts in the sleeves... because there is nowhere that you won't get some sort of reflection through. I have just bought a polarising lens for my canon camera as that eliminates reflection so I am going to give it a try.... sorry I couldn't be more help :D
