The road less travelled - DT for CSI challenge 140

Hello and welcome back to my blog.
This is a late post, due to major computer issues,
but fingers crossed the erase and re-install will iron out the persistent bugs
and allow me to work more efficiently.

Feel like joining in?
Hop over to CSI and get the clues and see what the DT have created.
I love the 13@rts paper which I used for the back ground,
the swirly, earthy tones really float my boat!
I've had the Scrap FX chippy for ages and it seemed just right for this photo.
This image instantly transports me back to Africa and reminds me of a life changing holiday.

Document an adventure:-

These Wildebeest trekking across the veldt at sunset, remind me of an epiphany I experienced in Amboseli National Park. My heart was weary and sad when I arrived in Africa, ripped by ugly circumstances beyond my control. The glory of sunrise, the animals in their natural habitat and the generosity of the people, all contributed to the holiday of a lifetime. Little by little, the space, light and natural beauty of this ancient land, picked at the knot in my gut and poured healing balm into the cracks of my psyche. It’s years since this sublime event and the benefits remain with me to this day. A life changing holiday. Journalling 12th September 2014

  1. This is an amazing layout! The journalling is very well written and descriptive and just love the photo too! Always love your thoughts about your layouts! What a perfect chippie too!

  2. You NEVER cease to surprise me... Will it be a CAS page......a bit retro, graphic.....or.....THIS??!!!! I reckon we would have a ball scrapping together, cos we both switch it round so much!!! Which is the fun, of course:) this is a fabulous piece of work...sooooo different - STUNNING:):):)))

  3. Amazing page! So tranquil & lovely!!

  4. Wow Helen! What a stunning layout!

  5. Oh wow, this is so captivating. Love love it all.

  6. Amazing page! The picture is just stunning and the earthy paper goes with it perfectly!

  7. Stunning page Helen! Wow....such a super and gorgeous design and then the perfect and amazing journalling! Just love it! The great trek is so find new pastures and water...and perhaps Africa was exactly that for pastures and new water for the soul! xx

  8. Now I know I commented on this one or was that also in the gallery :) I am loosing it for sure. This is just an amazing layout and that photo is worthy of a Nat Geo cover - in fact they would do well to use your whole layout for the cover. I do love that Africa - despite all of its shortcomings has the ability to heal and it does. A powerful and emotive layout.

  9. Oh my this is an outstanding creation Helen.....Love it!
