CSI Challenge 104 - Celebrate the little things

I loved the gorgeous girly colours this week and had fun scrapping

this photo of DGD and her beloved Papa.
The idea of the challenge is to use all the colours, at least
two of the evidence promts and at least one of the testimony prompts.
Why not pop over and see the inspiration by the Design Team at CSI
You have until 12th December USA time to join in. 13th in Australia
The background paper is My Mind's Eye, Flair "Forever" paper
The frames are made with Kaisercraft journal cards "Happy Days
A few closies
I used watercolour paper and gelatos for the heart die
A Martha Stewart doily tucked into the corner
The scattered hearts are made with a Heidi Swap stencil (confetti)
Silver metal

I chose to document something about sleeping and used the inspirations word smiles as part of the story.

The journalling reads:-
I love this photo when you’d just learned to give big sloppy kisses.  Lots of practice makes perfect and you had plenty of willing subjects to practice with.

You two always gravitate to each other with arms outstretched and beaming smiles; you are besotted with each other.

At two and a half you decided that Pa should be called Papa with a French accent and Papa happily responds to his new sobriquet.

You’ve always been a busy girl; anxious to keep moving lest your eyes happen to droop if you stay still for a second.   You sometimes still have a tiny nap in the afternoon, but are happy to party on, if there is anything fun happening.

You’ve changed so much since this photo was taken.  A good reminder to record precious moments.   Love Granny 2 Feb 2013

  1. Yes I really do love this layout. I love your apportionment of the colours and that background page is just soft and beautiful ... Perfect for that sweet little girl of your and clearly the apple of her papa's eye. Just as it should be. There is so much to love on this layout and you rocked this case file totally. Now I just want to get home to play. We seem to have been away forever and while I have really enjoyed and I beginning to get scrappy withdrawal... :D I hope that this will be a wonderful year for you Helen. I am so glad to be working with you on the Scrap Africa site too...

  4. Helen, this is gorgeous! I've been working on this challenge myself - that colour palette really caught my eye and I'm really loving what you have done with it!

  5. What a sweet photo. My husband has a similar relationship with two of our grandsons. They stick to their Oupa like glue and we often teasingly call them bostik and prestik. I adore your little heart is so dainty. An altogether beautiful page.

  6. Love this sweet and precious page Helen! Love the sweet photo and your beautiful colouring! Your journalling is gorgeous as always and is a treat! You are so right when you say that precious moments must be recorded...because they are certainly fleeting and if not captured and recorded are lost! It's a reminder to me.... xx
