Once upon a time - DT layout for CSI 136

Hello, hello, I have enjoyed the sunshine today and the first daffodils blooming.
Signs that the bleak winter might be drawing to a close.
I have a CSI Design Team page to share with you
with these gorgeous spring like colours.
have created some bright and beautiful pages to inspire you.
I used the current sketch from
Scrap 365
It's not necessary to use the sketch, just follow the Case file above.
i.e. Use all five colours, at least two of the evidence prompts and
at least one of the testimony prompts.

The lace piece is from Prima
The leaves are a die cut from Memory Box
they were just perfect for our little Garden Girl
I wet embossed the lacy Scrapmatts chipboard circles
The sparkly crystals are from Prima
The chippy and title are from Scrapmatts
EVIDENCE
Text print - on the background paper
Floral pattern
Butterflies
Lace
Leaves
Wet medium - wet embossing and ink splashes
Wings

TESTIMONY
I went to Paper wishes and used a prompt "Describe something you want your family to know".

On this day, I asked your Mummy to bring your favourite dress, so I could take some pictures. In between shots, you flitted around our garden like a little butterfly.  Pausing here to pick a flower, stopping there to pat the doggie statue, all the while, singing softly to yourself and pretending to be a Princess.  You love to play outside, using your imagination;   perhaps that is why you are so creative and resilient.
Love Granny 10/8/14

  1. Enchanted layout, Helen! your GD looks like a little princess or a fairy.
Beautiful design, with soft and delicate touches. I love what you did with the chipboard. the die-cut leaves are a perfect touch and add so much to your beautiful layout.

  2. I never got a chance to play along this week. Still trying to wrap up my last two DT's. I love the colours because they are so springy and as I was having tea outside this morning although it is still cool the trees are getting their new leaf shoots and some of the plants are starting to flower. We have already had a shower of rain which washed away some of the dust of winter but not enough. How I love this time of year. Anyhow I digress :)
This is a beautiful spring layout and Esther looks like a little princess. Gorgeous photo of her too. Love the colours and the chippies are great. Love the lace circle thing :D You rocked it again my friend. xox

  14. Beautiful LO, Helen! I fell in love with the old fashioned forget me not paper by Kaisercraft.....more importantly, I adore how beautifully it goes with your GD's dress. Great choice for your chippies and how wonderful they look having been painted. What lovely journaling too! This will be cherished for a very long time, I believe.
