Remember - Kraft+ DT January 2017

Welcome back Scrappy Friends and thanks for visiting today.
A brand New Year with no mistakes in it!
I’ve been a long time admirer of Kraft+ and was delighted to be invited to join the team.
I feel like I’m standing on the shoulders of giants;
as I’ve learned so much from these artists.
Thank you for the opportunity Sandra.
To be eligible to win one of the many prizes,
make sure that your work is on Kraft cardstock.
Use the phrase "On your bike" to inspire your page.
I thought this was a cracker of a challenge.  I was inspired by the blue shutters and the white washed feel of the mood board, as well as the theme, "On your bike"
Because I chose travel photos, I wanted to keep the layout simple.  The circle shape and the upside down figures hint at travel around the globe.
The Kaisercraft paper, Base Coat Collection, "Cracked" matched my photos perfectly.
The bike charm is from Sirrah Sirrah.
The wooden figures are from Freckled Fawn.
And the gorgeous flair is from Studio Fourteen40
Here's the journalling, if you are interested and unable to read it on the page.

You have a whole month to join in the challenge
and have a chance of winning one of the fabulous prizes from our generous sponsors.

Your kind comments make me smile; thanks for leaving some love.

  6. I absolutely loved this one when I first saw it on FB and I love it even more now that I am able to read the journalling. I am struggling so at the moment. I need to get away from all things social media and just be in the moment. I became so caught up in the needing to be validated. I feel the same way when I go away and we are going to be doing more of it this year. I love that your pages speak to me so. Thank you Helen <3

  7. Hi Helen, really like the idea of the circle emulating the globe and really like your bike embellishments. LOVE your jornalling, so true. Like Val , your journalling really spoke to me, in some ways social media is not a good thing , but in other ways it is good to be able to share nice things and our work. Its finding a good balance I think
At the beginning of each year I go and sit in the park and I have a book I write in each year of what I want to achieve and look back to see what I actually achieved from what I wrote the year before. As of yet I have not done that yet, but I need to

  9. Guess I missed this post, too--probably because of my computer being gone a few days, or just because I'm a senior--haha! Anyway, congrats on joining the DT--they're lucky to have you, Helen! So creative to make the circle which indeed makes me think of the globe & the embellishments are wonderful!

  10. The circle concept is so cool and the entire design/grid is perfection on paper. I would love to make a book of your "sketches." Great ideas!
