TESTIMONY
I used the inspiration word escape to kick start my Journalling.  It reads:-
You have always been a curious child, asking about 500 questions a day. At three you were intrigued by the little marks on pages, like full stops, commas and question marks; wanting to know what they meant. However, when you went to E.L.C. (Early Learning centre) you found it hard to ask questions and retreated into your shell for a while.  At home you were exuberant and playful and at ELC, quiet and watchful. One thing you did enjoy, was story time.  You were able to escape the noise of the classroom and ease into your happy place; your imaginary world. Now, at six, you can read fluently but you still love to be read to. Sometimes we take turns and read alternate  pages, both engrossed in what might happen next.  Reading is a daily escape and source of wonder for me and I’m so happy that books are a passion for you as well. You love to water our pot plants and we love watering your mind, by taking you to the library and having a house full of children’s books.  Love Granny,  Journalling,  Jan 2014

  1. A beautiful layout just reinforcing the bond between you and your grandies. Your love for them is so evident and if I can be half as good a granny I will be happy. You have set the bench mark high and I am so grateful to have someone to learn from. I have always been the first and sometimes it is hard to fly blind. Watching you with your family has taught me so much and for that I am eternally grateful. These are very lucky children to have you and your hubby as grandparents. xx

  8. I enjoyed reading Val's comment almost as much as your loving words to your grandson! Really like the little Peter Rabbit, the smiley flairs/buttons, and the itty stars on the punched strip of hearts. Your GDS is such a sweet boy, just look at his face. I am sure he treasures the moments with you and when he grows up he will tell his future love about his most beloved memories, those of you and him. xoxox
